What you need to know.

  • COVID-19 vaccines are effective at helping protect against severe disease and death from variants of the virus that causes COVID-19.
  • If you are fully vaccinated you can resume many activities that you did before the pandemic, but you should wear a mask indoors in public where substantial or high transmission can occur.
  • You may have side effects after vaccination. These are normal and should go away in a few days.

Community Healthcare Center carries Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, but the supply of these vaccines may vary due to supply and shipping processes.

How old do you have to be to get the first round of COVID-19 Vaccine?

  • Moderna mRNA vaccine is available for those ages 18 and older.
  • Pfizer mRNA vaccine is available for those ages 5 and older.

How can I get the vaccine?

  • The federal government is providing the vaccine free of charge to all people living in the United States, regardless of their immigration or health insurance status.

Community Healthcare Center now has flu shots available for children and adults. The cost of the flu shot is $25 but may be less depending on insurance or sliding fee discount.

Flu shots are available for all established patients and new patients 20 and younger, pregnant women, and adults 65 and older.

If you have an appointment coming up with a great Community Healthcare Center provider, please ask them about getting your flu shot.

Community Healthcare Center at Wilbarger General is a pediatric clinic in Vernon, Texas. Your child can be seen for a well visit, Texas Health Steps visit, or a walk-in sick visit at our pediatric clinic located in the Doctor's Clinic with Wilbarger General Hospital.

We welcome Medicaid, CHIP, and most insurances.

Our pediatric clinic is open from 7:45am to 4:30pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday. We are closed from 12:15pm to 1:00pm for lunch.
