Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Community Healthcare Center is searching for a detailed, customer service oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

The ideal candidate will:

  • Provide direct supervision to laboratory staff
  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Review and approve lab invoices for supplies and testing.
  • Write and revise lab policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Perform and document competency assessments for clinical staff who perform point of care labs.
  • Communicate procedural changes to the Chief Medical Officer, providers, and nursing staff.
  • Provide Performance Improvement Reports for risk management purposes.
  • Complete new CLIA applications and revise existing ones as needed and ensure CLIA certificates at all sites are current.
  • Perform lab compliance reviews at each site and submit reports to the Compliance and Performance Improvement Committee.
  • Maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to include phlebotomy functions when necessary.

Requirements for this position are:

  • Possess a current Medical Laboratory Technologist certification
  • Must have at least 1 year of generalist laboratory experience
  • Must have experience in phlebotomy and point of care
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator

Community Healthcare Center (CHC) is seeking a full-time Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator with excellent customer service skills and should be detail oriented. The candidate will provide clients with free and unbiased assistance and enrollment regarding available health plans with the Health Insurance Marketplace. They will also offer assistance and enrollment through the Community Partner Program with Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP and TANF applications .  They will be required to work outreach events, such as health fairs and expos, during workdays, evenings, and weekends. Must be willing to travel. Candidate will be required to complete all federal and state training to obtain certification as a Certified Application Counselor and Community Partner Program Navigator and will be required to re-certify on an annual basis. The candidate must also be proficient with computer software programs, such as MS Office and web-based portals/databases. Must maintain a valid driver license, safe driving record and minimum auto insurance limits. Experience in Public Health, Outreach, Social Work, or related field preferred. Receptionist

Community Healthcare Center is looking for an exemplary, customer service oriented Receptionist. Responsibilities include registering new patients, updating demographic and insurance data, scheduling appointments, entering charges, accepting payments and reconciling/balancing cash drawer. Call Support Specialist

Community Healthcare Center is looking for an exemplary, customer service oriented Call Support Specialist. Responsibilities include answering incoming calls, take thorough messages, retrieve all messages from voicemail system, maintains/updates patient registration data and schedule appointments. Primary responsibilities: Evaluating, diagnosing, and counseling patients; Developing individualized treatment plans that define services and interventions; Implementing and updating treatment plans according to documentation and billing requirements; and Coordinating clinical services and making referrals with outside agencies for patients.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent assessment skills
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology
  • Valid license as an LCSW in the state of Texas
  • 2 years of experience preferred providing mental health, substance abuse and a background in the medical field dealing with chronic illnesses
  • Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • CPR Certification Required

Community Healthcare Center is seeking customer-service oriented, full-time Registered Nurse Home Visitors to join our growing team in the Nurse-Family Partnership® Program. Nurses will utilize both clinical experience and evidence based practice to deliver a strength-based model that emphasizes patient education and empowerment through mutual goal setting and a behavior changing theory in an at-home case management experience.
