Revenue Cycle Manager

Community Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Manager. The perfect candidate will direct and oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization’s revenue cycle activities. They will review, design, and implement processes surrounding onboarding, billing, third-party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. They will track metrics to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. They will manage relations with payers and providers to endeavor to insure proper revenue capture and a low level of denials.

The Revenue Cycle Manager’s duties and responsibilities are:

  • Assists management with workflow and work distribution; monitoring and maintaining compliance and performance standards by ensuring production and quality standards are met.
  • Assists with development and implementation of department and project action plans.
  • Directs daily Revenue Cycle operations, including but not limited to training, cash posting, billing, reverification of benefits, etc.
  • Train, mentor and resolve revenue cycle process related questions for team.
  • Ensure the quality of each team members claim resolution activity.
  • Advises of performance deficiencies; makes recommendations for retraining of employees.
  • Assists in identifying and coordinating process improvement opportunities within the organization.
  • Updates management with system and procedural issues which require analysis and resolution and compiles production reports for work group.
  • Works with coders, practice managers and other staff as needed to resolve errors and release corrected claims.
  • Monitors assignments in the electronic billing system to assure resolution of errors and edits.
  • Processes billing interfaces and/or interface edits; identifies and resolves problems as they arise; reviews and corrects claim edits and denials to ensure proper payment for services rendered.
  • Researches and distributes correspondence from insurance carriers and ensures resolution for claims.
  • Investigate patient account questions, etc.; assists Coders, Posters, Contracting, Front desk and Practice Managers as needed.
  • Completes special projects that may require defining problems, determining work sequence and summarizing findings.
  • Identifies problems and inconsistencies with federal, state, and private payer claims, and patient charges utilizing various reports; research problems, summarizes findings and makes recommendations.

At least 8 years of experience to include extensive knowledge of contracting and onboarding processes for physicians and other health professionals with at least six years directly related to medical claims/revenue cycle processes is preferred. A higher degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis, up to two years.  Five plus years of managerial experience preferred.

Must maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance and ensure confidentiality of any Private Health Information (PHI) or Electronic Private Health Information (ePHI).

Value Based Care (VBC) Coordinator

Community Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Value Based Care (VBC) Coordinator. This position is responsible for care management and coordination services for patients assigned to Community Healthcare Center within the Affordable Care Organization (ACO).

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Perform advanced care management tasks including pre-visit planning, providing patient education, monitoring, and supporting patient self-management
  • Provide care coordination services to address short- and long-term medical treatment goals
  • Communicate with providers and care team members about relevant patient needs and changes
  • Develop and foster relationships with patients regarding their care management goals
  • Constant communication with patients regarding progress toward meeting their goals
  • Schedule/reschedule patient for needed visits
  • Track hospital and emergency room discharges to schedule patients for follow-up visits within the designated timeframe
  • Track quality measures by performing routine chart audits on patients and creating health reminders for providers to address during routine visits

Management of the organization’s profile and claim information contained within the ACO’s platform

Education and experience should include High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and graduation from an accredited LVN or CMA program or Texas agency for CNA. Continuous education as required by the State Board of Nursing.

Must maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance and ensure confidentiality of any Private Health Information (PHI) or Electronic Private Health Information (ePHI).

Billing Clerk I

Community Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Billing Clerk I. This person must be able to verify insurance benefits accurately, estimate a patient’s cost at the time of service and explain insurance benefits to patients.  Additional duties include processing refunds, engage with the patients about their bills, and prepare patient payment contracts. Phlebotomist – Lab

Community Healthcare Center is searching for a full-time, self-motivated Phlebotomist. The right candidate would perform point of care clinical laboratory tests and routine venipuncture, as ordered by the provider. They would ensure timely reporting of test results to clinical staff and assists staff in interpretation of results as needed. Other duties would include ordering lab procedures for reference laboratory, faxing lab orders to outside draw stations, packaging specimens, contact patients for past due labs, works open lab order reports, enter point of care test results, and collects specimens for Texas Health Steps. Nurses will utilize both clinical experience and evidence-based practice to deliver a strength-based model that emphasizes patient education and empowerment through mutual goal setting and a behavior changing theory in an at-home case management experience.
