Community Healthcare Center is a designated National Health Service Corps and State of Texas Loan Repayment Program site. A portion of student loans may be forgiven or repaid based on the number of years of service. The Center is a FTCA deemed facility.

Staff Dentist

Seeking a Staff Dentist for a full-time position to work for Family Health Center on Virginia in McKinney, Texas (Collin County).

Dentist responsibilities and Duties:

  • Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients, including but not limited to regular cleanings, SRP’s, restorations, root canals, simple & surgical extractions, prosthodontic and cosmetic treatment.
  • Educate patients and parents of patients on maintaining proper oral health
  • Prescribe medications as necessary
  • Carefully document all medications, diagnoses, treatments, and consultations
  • Supervise the work of professional, technical, and administrative staff

Candidates must hold a valid DDS/DMD degree from an accredited school in the USA and must possess an unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Texas.

Pediatric Physician

Family Health Center on Virginia, a service of Community Healthcare Center, is seeking a full-time or part-time motivated and passionate Pediatric physician to join our team.

 Objectives of this role:

  • Provide superior Pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Create an environment in which patients, including parents/guardians, feel comfortable and supported.
  • Treat other staff members with kindness, patience, and professionalism.
  • Maintain clinic and patient records that are up-to-date and thorough.
  • Have a passion for serving the underserved.

Responsibilities:

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients.
  • Emphasize early detection of illness and prevention.
  • Advise patients and caregivers on wellness best practices.
  • Provide supervisory oversight to mid-level providers.
  • Prioritize patient health above all else.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Current Texas licensure in good standing
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Pediatrics
  • Passion for Pediatric care
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in more than one language

Community Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time, self-motivated and committed Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW) to provide full-time brief intervention counseling for adults, adolescents, children and families.

Primary responsibilities: Evaluating, diagnosing, and counseling patients; Developing individualized treatment plans that define services and interventions; Implementing and updating treatment plans according to documentation and billing requirements; and Coordinating clinical services and making referrals with outside agencies for patients.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent assessment skills
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology
  • Valid license as an LCSW in the state of Texas
  • 2 years of experience preferred providing mental health, substance abuse and a background in the medical field dealing with chronic illnesses
  • Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • CPR Certification Required

Bilingual a plus. Competitive salary and benefits package.
