Referral Specialist

Community Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Referral Specialist. The Referral Specialist is responsible for ensuring the patient receives specialty services as dictated by their primary care provider. This includes research to determine the appropriate place the patient should be referred, assembling referral packets to include demographics, insurance information, any pertinent clinical findings, and any insurance referrals, if required. The Referral Specialist acts on all referral requests in a timely manner, including closing the ‘referral loop’ which includes following up on patients’ specialist appointments and completed consultations.

The ideal candidate would possess experience with or proficiency in:

  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Greenway Intergy
  • Various web-based portals and databases
  • Medical terminology
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management

Preferred, but not required:

  • Bilingual
  • Previous clinical experience is not required but is a plus.
