Phlebotomist

Family Health Center on Virginia, a service of Community Healthcare Center, is searching for a full-time, self-motivated Phlebotomist. The right candidate would perform point of care clinical laboratory tests and routine venipuncture, as ordered by the provider. They would ensure timely reporting of test results to clinical staff and assists staff in interpretation of results as needed. Other duties would include ordering lab procedures for reference laboratory, faxing lab orders to outside draw stations, packaging specimens, contact patients for past due labs, works open lab order reports, enter point of care test results, and collects specimens for Texas Health Steps. Maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance and ensure confidentiality of any Private Health Information (PHI) or Electronic Private Health Information (ePHI). Performs other duties as assigned and may cross-train for other clinical functions.  Bilingual is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits package. Please apply online here.
