TOBACCO-FREE WORKFORCE POLICY

The leadership and staff of Community Healthcare Center have taken many steps over the last couple of years to provide a healthy environment for our patients, staff and visitors, as well as for our community. These steps include the move toward a tobacco-free campus in 2012 and now a tobacco-free workforce in 2016.

Through these efforts, Community Healthcare Center has adopted a new tobacco-free workforce policy to help build a healthier workforce. Click here to view this policy.

External job applicants will need to confirm that they do not use tobacco or nicotine products when applying for positions at Community Healthcare Center, and that they will not use said products subsequent to being hired.

The pre-employment health screening will detect all forms of tobacco, including nicotine replacement therapy products. The test will not detect second-hand smoke.

Like many healthcare facilities and other organizations before us, we are taking this step to ensure a bright future for Community Healthcare Center, our staff, our patients and our community.
